I used to enjoy Lovely Laundry back when "Out of Order" was rare, ceiling and floor fans were used and the floor was level.
I tried to dry my clothes in a dud dryer. When they weren't dry after my first attempt, I told the person on duty that the machine didn't seem to be working well (just because an employee is having a conversation with a friend in Spanish doesn't mean they don't speak perfect English, got it?) She was courteous enough to pay for another round. When I came back later before I had to leave for work and found that my clothes still weren't super dry, they paid for the next round using a better dryer, folded my laundry, and left it for me to pick up later, all free of charge. I would have liked my clothes to have been dry in the first place, but the customer service experience made up for it. Sort of.
I've had a fine time doing my laundry here since September 2013. Cashiers are happy to make change, machines usually work as they should, soap is wicked cheap if I happened to forget mine at home, no complicated laundry-card system (unless you like that). I could give a hoot about holes in the drop ceiling, my clothes come out clean and I don't have to pay too much. And the folding tables are clean, so as long as you aren't dragging your socks on the floor, you're fine.
I've been going to this laundromat for years but it has seriously declined over the past year, year and half. The place is falling apart and the machines look dirty and are old. I was always armed with my can of lysol before using any of the washers and dryers. The staff is helpful enough but many of the machines are always out of order. I've since gone to another laundromat, further away but I have more peace of mind.
Needs new washing machines and needs over all repairs
I still go to Lovely Laundry because it's the largest conveniently located laundromats with one decent folding table(the table without a rail or shelf attached).
Anyway, I'll keep doing my laundry here, it's too convenient not to.
